Located just 50 miles from Nicaragua’s Caribbean coast and once a pirate refuge, the neighboring Little Corn and Big Corn islands feature stunning white-sand beaches, vibrant coral reefs, clear, turquoise waters, awe-inspiring sunsets, and endless palms.

Located just 50 miles from Nicaragua’s Caribbean coast and once a pirate refuge, the neighboring Little Corn and Big Corn islands feature stunning white-sand beaches, vibrant coral reefs, clear, turquoise waters, awe-inspiring sunsets, and endless palms. They make for an excellent unplugged getaway. Big Corn is more developed, with an airport, roads, fine-dining options, and colorful wooden houses. Just 25 minutes away by boat, Little Corn is more remote (think: no cars). Both are an idyllic place to relax between scuba and snorkeling excursions; there are more than 40 species of coral in the area and a mélange of exotic fish. Sally Peachie and Otto Beach offer some of the best snorkeling. Other island activities include kayaking and sea fishing.
