Experience the Belize Reef and remote Islands aboard your own private sailboat.

When we can all travel again you might be looking for the perfect trip with your partner, family or small group of close friends. A chance to reconnect in beautiful surroundings with excellent service and away from others. A Catamaran sailing trip in Belize might just be the perfect solution!

With its unspoiled Caribbean coastline, hundreds of palm-dotted islands, and a barrier reef teeming with marine life, Belize is ideal for a catamaran sailing vacation.

Your private sailing charter can take you to some of the world’s best snorkelling, scuba diving, fishing, and kayaking sites, embellished with tropical cocktails and 5-star private dining from the comfort of your own private floating hotel.

Guests can choose their stops and their tempo when chartering a luxurious, live-aboard catamaran to go snorkelling, island-hopping, swimming, sport fishing, kayaking, or simply relaxing on the deck or a secluded beach.

With all the benefits of an all-inclusive resort, a catamaran charter, complete with captain and chef, ensures a tailor-made, personal tour in comfort and style — and it’s surprisingly affordable.

Families find that the togetherness aspects, along with the exclusivity of the private catamaran make this one of the best family vacations of all time. From Snorkelling to kayaking, stand up paddleboarding to fishing there is something for everyone.

For divers, we offer ‘Rendezvous Diving’ where diving operators will meet us out on the reef with equipment and experienced instructors. Spectacular diving locations include the Blue Hole, Hol Chan Marine Reserve, Turneffe Atoll and Lighthouse Reef among many others.

With rivers, lagoons, mangroves, hundreds of square miles of flats, and over 160 miles of reef, Belize boasts some of the world’s most exciting fishing. Attempt the “grand slam” of tarpon, bonefish, permit and snook on the shallow flats, or head out into the deep sea where wahoo, marlin, barracuda and tuna are in abundance.

“For a new way to enjoy beach holidays away from the crowds, this is the way to go,” says Viaventure Director Becky Harris, who took a catamaran trip with her daughter. “We felt like we had exclusive access to the entire Belizean coast and cayes. It was our own personal tour, giving us a wonderful sense of freedom.”

Typical destinations include Ambergris and Caye Caulker, the liveliest cayes; small, uninhabited islands that guests can have all to themselves; secret spots along the Belize Barrier Reef for spectacular snorkelling and scuba diving; and funky mainland fishing towns.

Guests can also sail into neighbouring Guatemala, arriving via the colourful Garifuna village of Livingston and cruising along the scenic Río Dulce all the way to Lago Izabal, the river’s source. Travelers can package their adventure with a night or two at the luxurious new Cassa Zenda, villa the new Coppola property overlooking Lago Izabal.

“It’s totally up to the passengers to chart their course,” Becky says.

Aboard the sleek catamaran, guests enjoy top-notch services and well-appointed accommodations, including comfortable beds, a full (but small) bathroom, a lovely dining room, and an awesome deck for a hypnotic 360-degree view.

The onboard cook prepares meals, sometimes inviting guests to “snorkel with the chef” to catch lobster, shrimp, or fish that becomes a later meal.

“Not only was it a wonderful adventure, I was surprised with how the cost compared to a hotel or all-inclusive package,” Becky says. “The daily price is fixed and includes all meals and transportation, even to spots that would be expensive to access otherwise. For group and family travel, it is quite budget-friendly.

Guests can of course, build their own tailormade itinerary with us depending on their interests and aims for the trip but you can check out a couple of example itineraries HERE.
